Holly was born in a small town in rural England so she grew up reading books and climbing trees. In high school she discovered a joy for dance which accompanied her all through her higher education. She studied French and Philosophy at the University of Liverpool and during that time dancing continued to be a joyful distraction from pontification.
On graduating university Holly attended Glastonbury festival and there saw performances from Arcadia Spectacular, Above and Beyond and Circomedia students. She said to herself, "I want that job." She discovered it was not too late to apply to Circomedia that year, auditioned, then started her Circus journey in 2013.
At Circomedia Holly discovered her passion for the aerial arts as well as acrobalance, clown and physical theatre. Not only that, she discovered that the Circus community had a vast wealth of love, enthusiasm and knowledge to impart on her. Teachers like Mike Wright of Above and Beyond, Jono Ayres, Janine Mahon and Lisa Whitmore of Circomedia all showed her just what she was capable of achieving. The generosity of her fellow students and teachers is still overwhelming to her.
Holly spent the next few years performing across the UK in a variety of skills, aerial, flying trapeze, acrobalance, fire and dance. She developed walkabout acts with friends and had the pleasure to perform with Bassline Circus at Fusion Festival Berlin. She longed to push her skills to new heights, to develop her joy for flying trapeze and static cradle.
That opportunity came in 2017 when Gorilla Circus's Mathew Herman and Ezra Trigg hired Holly as a Flying Trapeze instructor. Three years later Holly has traveled the world as a Flying Trapeze coach and performer and is now the School Manager of Gorilla Circus!
